The projects I've done with students count among the most artistically fulfilling experiences I've had making theater. Student artists are hungry, energetic, open, and brimming with new ideas. Their sense of freedom is infectious and inspiring. They don't know "the rules" yet, and I always hope for their sake they never learn them! Unencumbered by expectation, they explode with possibilities. I suspect I learn at least as much from working with them as I hope they do from working with me.
